Day 1 – Welcome Itinerary

On arrival in Kewzing Village welcoming and introduction by family members of Bon Farmhouse with check-in to the rooms. Welcome drink followed by a short tour around the farm. After a brief rest after lunch (traditional cuisine) head for a village walk to explore Kewzing village and Kewzing Monastery till evening. In the evening relax with a bonfire and Chaang (traditional millet beer) in the company of Farmhouse family members in the gazebo. Dinner will be served as per the guests’ preference of cuisine and time. Overnight stay in the Farm house

Package- 001 : Nature Walks

Day 2- Nature walk to Doling monastery via Lush Green Forest

Early morning after tea pay a visit to Kewzing monastery for a mind refreshing experience with the hum of Buddhist mantras. Return to the farmhouse for Breakfast. After breakfast head for a horizontal and pleasant nature walk to Doling Monastery enjoying the beautiful village trail passing through Kewzing Village and lush green forest lined with Mendang (Buddhist Stupas), streams with log bridges on the path which takes about two to three hours. Packed Lunch will be served at Doling monastery. After lunch in Doling Monastery if interested one can walk to Ravangla by passing Barfung Village which takes about an hour.

OR

Head back to Kewzing by the motorable National Highway road visiting Bon-Monastery at Bakhim (The only of its Kind in Sikkim). Spend the evening in Mangbru monastery’s view point enjoying the beautiful sunset in West Sikkim. Relax in with a bonfire and enjoy Chaang (Homemade traditional fermented millet beer) in the company of Farmhouse family members in the Farmhouse’s gazebo. Overnight stay in the Farmhouse.

Package 002 : One day Treks and Camps

Day 3- Trek to Maenam hilltop & Bhaleydunga via the thick forest of Maenam Wild Life Sanctuary

Early morning after the breakfast head via vehicle crossing Ravangla town. Ravangla is known as the “Cherrapunji of Sikkim”, July is the wettest month, with the average annual precipitation being in excess of 300 cm. The reaches above 2500m receive regular snowfall in winter. Maenam WLS has an altitudinal gradient ranging from 2300 m – 3263 m. The Maenam ridge bisects the sanctuary longitudinally in the north-south direction. This ridge gains in height as it proceeds from north to south till it reaches a maximum of 3263 m. The streams originating from the eastern flank of this ridge drain into the Tista River, while those originating from the western flank into the Rangit River. The Vegetation of the sanctuary is mixed broad-leaf and Coniferous type with the major Species like Quercus lamellosa (Buk), Q. lineata (Phalant), Machilus spp. (Kaula).
                       The sanctuary is most famous for Satyr Tragopan a rear Pheasant found in Eastern Himalayas and the state animal Red Panda. There is a historical Buddhist Monastery – Maenam Gumpa, at the top of the ridge, which was constructed around 1969 by the then Queen of Sikkim. On a clear day the view of the snow-laden peaks of Mt. Khangchendzonga, Mt. Siniolchu, Mt. Pandim and Mt. Narsing from the ridge top is breath-taking. All the major towns of Sikkim including Siliguri are visible on a clear night.
                      On reaching the entry gate of the sanctuary start a trek towards the top of the hill which is at an altitude of 10,500 ft enjoying the nature and wildlife at its best. Time taken to reach the top –four to six hours. Packed lunch will be served during the trek. After the lunch a take horizontal trek towards Bhaleydunga. Bhaleydunga is a prominent ridge having a height of 3202 m, with a drop of almost 5000 feet. The name Bhaley translates to cock in Nepali and Dhunga meaning rock. It may have gotten its name from the incessant breeding calls of male pheasants perched on this vantage point. People living in the adjoining villages, come to worship Lord Shiva on the top of this rock. Once reaching Bhaleydunga trek back to Ravangla (about two hours downhill).

OR

Once reaching Bhaleydunga one can trek to Yangang village which takes about two hours downhill and get back to the farm house via vehicle. Leisurely evening with the family of the Farm House. Overnight stay in the Farmhouse

Day 4- Trek to Rayong village via Tendong forest and to Kewzing via Dothra forest.

Early morning after breakfast get dropped via vehicle near Damthang School and start for a beautiful and wonderful nature trek towards the village of Rayong via lush Tendong Reserved Forest. The trek will take about three hours to reach Rayong village. Packed Lunch will be served during the trek. On reaching Rayong village either take vehicle to head back to Farmhouse.

OR

If interested for further trekking, head to Kewzing via Dothra Forest along an old motorable route used by the Chogyal of Sikkim by-passing the town of Ravangla through Gorley Bhir [Name after the Himalayan Goral a mountain goat, bhir is ridge] – This is a three to four hour trek. Evening with the family members of the Farm House. Overnight stay in the Farmhouse.

Day 5- Trek to Nine sisters waterfall via Samsing village

After breakfast trek downhill towards Samsing Village (Samsing means the bark tree in Bhutia which is found in lower altitudes of Sikkim) Samsing village is fully surrounded by terraced paddy fields and is dominated by the Nepali community. After a trek of about three-four hours reach the nine sisters waterfall which by name is a beautiful waterfall on a rocky slope. Packed lunch will be served on the trek. After lunch either head back to the farmhouse via vehicle or trek back uphill. Spend evening leisurely with the family members of the farmhouse. Overnight stay at the Farmhouse.

Package 003 : Leisure Activities

Day6- Itinerary for a Picnic in Rangit Valley

After breakfast head towards River Rangit via vehicle for the day along the river to enjoy the day fishing for River Trouts or Swimming in Trout valley (property of the Farmhouse). Lunch will be prepared by farmhouse’s cook in the river shore or guests may even participate in preparing lunch. Return back to the Farmhouse in the Evening. Overnight stay in the Farmhouse.

Sightseeing tours

Day 7- Sightseeing Tours in places of Interest in South Sikkim

After Breakfast head for sightseeing tour to Ralong monastery new and old monastery (Kagyug sect of Tibetan Buddhism) Borong village and back to Ravangla visiting Buddha Park, Ravangla monastery, Ravangla market. Head towards Namchi town and Samdruptse for the visit to the 170ft long Guru Padmasambhava statue and Sholophok Chardham temples, Namchi monastery and on the way back from Namchi visit Temi tea estate. Lunch can be served in any of the intermittent places of visit. Overnight stay at the Farmhouse.

Day 8- Sightseeing tours via vehicle in West Sikkim whole day.

After breakfast at the Farmhouse head towards Legship for a visit to hot water spring, holy Legship Shiv Mandir, to witness the Hindu prayers and rituals. After the visit to the temple head towards Gayzing (Headquarters of West Sikkim) and on passing visit the Rabendentse ruins the second capital of Sikkim on the way to Pemayangtse Monastery which is the oldest and most holy Buddhist monastery in Sikkim. You may also visit Sangaycholing Monastery in the hilltop of Pelling. After the visit to all the Holy monastery drive towards Keocheopari Lake passing many beautiful waterfalls on its way. Packed lunch will be served in Keocheopari Lake after which head towards the first capital of Sikkim, Yuksom and on the way visit the magnificent Khangchendzonga waterfall. Driving back from Yuksom take the route through Gerethang visiting Tashiding Monastery with a wonderful view of the Phamrong falls and reach the Farmhouse in about three hours drive. Overnight stay in Kewzing.
